Aminophylline

Aminophylline is a compound of the bronchodilator theophylline with ethy-lenediamine in 2:1 ratio. The ethy-lenediamine improves solubility, and the aminophylline is usually found as a dihydrate.Aminophylline is a compound salt of theophylline and ethylenediamin. 1. Relax smooth muscle: aminophylline can act on smooth muscle cells, increase the concentration of cyclic adenylate in cells by inhibiting phosphodiesterase, thus relaxing respiratory smooth muscle and dilating bronchus.
