Aminophylline

Aminophylline is a compound of the bronchodilator theophylline with ethy-lenediamine in 2:1 ratio. The ethy-lenediamine improves solubility, and the aminophylline is usually found as a dihydrate.Aminophylline is a compound salt of theophylline and ethylenediamin. 1. Relax smooth muscle: aminophylline can act on smooth muscle cells, increase the concentration of cyclic adenylate in cells by inhibiting phosphodiesterase, thus relaxing respiratory smooth muscle and dilating bronchus. This relaxing effect can improve airway spasm and increase airway patency, allowing patients to breathe more smoothly.

3. Cardiotropic effect: aminophylline has a mild cardiotropic effect, that is, it can enhance cardiac contractility and cardiac output. This effect can improve oxygen supply and metabolism of tissues and improve cardiorespiratory function in patients with respiratory diseases.

4. Diuretic effect: aminophylline can promote the kidney to urinate and increase urine volume. This diuretic effect helps to remove excess fluid from the body, reducing edema and the burden on the patient's heart.
