Demoxepam CAS 963-39-3

Demoxepam is a major metabolite of Chlordiazepoxide. Demoxepam showed cytotoxic activity against cancer cell lines. Demoxepam has anticonvulsant and antianxiety effects.

5-chloro-3-phenylbenzoisoxazole was synthesized by cyclic synthesis of p-nitrochlorobenzene and benzyl nitrile in ethanol with the participation of sodium hydroxide, then 2-amino-5-chlorobenzophenone was obtained by reduction and ring-opening with iron powder and hydrochloric acid, and then 2-amino-5-chlorobenzophenone oxime was obtained by hydroxylamine hydrochloride.
