1-Hexanol

1-Hexanol. It belongs to the fat primary alcohol, colorless transparent liquid at normal temperature and pressure, and has a special flavor. The molecular formula is C6H14O and the structural formula is CH3(CH2)5OH. Flammable and can form an explosive mixture with air. Slightly soluble in water, soluble in ethanol, ether and other organic solvents, low toxicity, but irritating to the skin and mucous membranes, the main use is as an organic solvent and organic synthesis raw materials.

(1) Can be used as an analytical reagent, but also used in the pharmaceutical industry to make preservatives and sleeping pills.
