TCPP, chemically known as tri (2-chloropropyl) phosphate, is an organophosphorus halide flame retardant. Good hydrolysis stability, insoluble in water, soluble in ethanol,  lipids, aromatics and other organic solvents. It has good anti-ultraviolet ability. 

TCPP is a kind of flame retardant containing chlorine and phosphorus, which is mainly used in polyurethane foam materials.

TCPP widely used in soft and hard polyurethane foam, polyvinyl chloride, polyvinyl acetate, phenolic resin and epoxy resin and other materials. Flame Retardant TCPP, the chemical name Tris (2-chloroisopropyl) Phosphate , is a low cost chlorine and phosphorous  based  flame  retardant. It  has  the  best  hydrolysis  stability  among  currently  available halogenated organic phosphates. Can not dissolve in water,dissolve in most organic solvent, and have good   compatibility  with   resins.Applying   as   Flame   Retardant   in  the   production   of  acetate  fiber, polyvinyl-chloride, PU foams, EVA, phenolics materials. Except the flame retarding, it can also promote the  moisture  resisting,low temperature  resisting,the capability of antistatic  and the softness of the materials.

Applikatioun

This product is colorless to pale yellow oily liquid, soluble in benzene, alcohol, ester and carbon tetrachloride. At 20ºC, its aquatic solubility is 1.6g/L. This product is insoluble in aliphatic hydrocarbons. Chlorine content is 32.5%, and phosphorus content is 9.5%. As the molecule contains both phosphorus and chlorine, its flame-retardant properties are very significant; at the same time, the product is plasticized, moisture-proof, anti-static and so on. Therefore, it is an additional flame retardant. This product is suitable for flame retardancy of polyurethane, PVC, polystyrene, phenolic resin, acrylic resin, rubber and coating. It is generally used with antimony oxide to increase the flame-retardant efficiency of antimony oxide.
