Levodopa

Levodopa, an organic compound with the chemical formula C9H11NO4, is a precursor drug of dopamine. It has no pharmacological activity in itself, enters the center through the blood-brain barrier, and is transformed into DA by dopa decarboxylase to play pharmacological effects.

Use 1: Levodopa is one of the effective drugs for the treatment of tremor paralysis, one of the precursors for the synthesis of norepinephrine and dopamine in the body, belonging to catecholamines. Levodopa can enter the brain through the blood-brain barrier, and is converted into dopamine by Domarboxylase. But the obvious effect is slow, the side effects are larger. Rat oral LD50>4000mg/kg.

Use 2: An effective drug for the treatment of palsy tremor, mainly used for Parkinson's syndrome.
