Dicyclohexylamine is a secondary amine with the chemical formula HN(C6H11)2. It is a colorless liquid, although commercial samples can appear yellow. It has a fishy odor, typical for amines. It is sparingly soluble in water. As an amine, it is an organic base and useful precursor to other chemicals.

DCHA is a colorless clear liquid with strong alkalinity and harsh amine odor.
It is inflammable and toxic. It can be dissolved in water and organics.

Widely used as organic synthesis intermediates, can be used in the production of dye intermediates, rubber promoter, nitrocellulose paint, insecticides, catalysts, preservatives, gas phase corrosion inhibitors and fuel antioxidant additives. It is also used as an extractant. The fatty acid salts and sulfates of dicyclohexamine have the decontamination properties of soap and are used in the printing and dyeing and textile industries.
