Beta-laurene is a colorless or yellowish liquid with a light balsam aroma. Insoluble in water, soluble in organic solvents such as ethanol. It is found in cinnamon oil, maple grass oil, cypress wood oil, spruce oil, turpentine oil, lemongrass oil, lemon oil, etc. Laurene can be separated by decompression fractionation.
