Oleic Acid

Properties:

Colorless or light yellow to red oily liquid with lard like aroma and taste. There is a rotten taste, which is the reason for the deterioration of the oil. Commercial oleic acid generally contains 7% to 12% saturated fatty acids.

Can be used as drilling mud lubrication release agent. Sodium salt or potassium salt of oleic acid is one of the ingredients of soap. Pure sodium oleate has good decontamination ability, can be used as surfactant such as emulsifier, and can be used to treat cholelithiasis. Other metal salts of oleic acid can also be used for waterproof fabrics, lubricants, polishes, etc. Barium salts can be used as rodenticides.
