Bilirubin is a kind of bile pigment, which is the main pigment in human bile. Under the action of NADPH and H ions, hematin produces biliverdin, trivalent Fe ions and CO, and biliverdin produces bilirubin under the action of NADPH and H ions. The heme is remade into histamin.
