Diethyltoluenediamine is used as a chain extender for reaction injection molding polyurethane, and a curing agent for polyurethane coatings, epoxy resins, and alkyd resins. It is an intermediate for pesticides and dyes, and an antioxidant for plastics, rubbers, and oils.
Diethyltoluenediamine is an aromatic diamine curing agent for polyurethane elastomers and epoxy resins. It is used for casting, coatings, and adhesives. It is also a chain extender for polyurethane and polyurea elastomers. It reacts quickly with polyurethane prepolymers and is mainly used in reaction casting polyurethane systems and spray polyurethane (urea) elastic coating systems. It has the advantages of fast reaction speed, short demoulding time, high initial strength, and hydrolysis resistance and heat resistance of the product.
