Calcium Oxide

Calcium oxide is an inorganic compound whose chemical formula is CaO and common name is quicklime.  Physical property is the surface of white powder, impure for gray, containing impurities in light yellow or gray, with hygroscopic. 

1. Can be used as a filler, for example: used as a filler for epoxy adhesives;

2. Used as analytical reagents, carbon dioxide absorbers for gas analysis, spectral analysis reagents, high-purity reagents for epitaxy and diffusion processes in semiconductor production, laboratory ammonia drying and alcohol dehydration, etc.

3. As a raw material, it can be used to manufacture calcium carbide, soda ash, bleaching powder, etc. It is also used in tanning, wastewater purification, calcium hydroxide and various calcium compounds;

4. It can be used as building material, metallurgical flux, cement quick-setting agent, phosphor flux;

1. Used as vegetable oil decolorizer, drug carrier, soil improver and calcium fertilizer;

2. It can also be used as refractory material and desiccant;

3. It can be used to prepare agricultural machinery No. 1 and No. 2 adhesives and underwater epoxy adhesives, and can also be used as a reactant for pre-reaction with 2402 resin;

4. Used for acid wastewater treatment and sludge conditioning;

5. It can also be used as a boiler shutdown protection agent, using the moisture absorption capacity of lime to keep the metal surface of the boiler water vapor system dry and prevent corrosion. It is suitable for long-term shutdown protection of low-pressure, medium-pressure, and small-capacity drum boilers;

6. It can react with water to prepare calcium hydroxide. The reaction equation is: CaO+H2O=Ca(OH)2, which belongs to the compound reaction.
