Drotaverine hydrochloride is a specific smooth muscle antispasmodic. It can relax smooth muscle such as blood vessel, gastrointestinal tract and biliary tract. It is used to relieve or prevent functional or neurological smooth muscle spasm. It has a selective blocking effect on cardiac beta receptors. This drug only acts on smooth muscle without affecting the autonomic nervous system, so it can be used in patients with glaucoma and prostatic hypertrophy who are conjunctivized by anticholinergic antispasmolytics

Toepassing
