Terephthalaldehyde

Terephthalaldehyde is an important fine chemical raw material downstream. Because of its two active aldehyde groups in its molecular structure, it can self-polymerize or copolymerize with other monomers to form polymer materials.

It is the main raw material for the production of fluorescent whitening agent, and it is also used in the synthesis of dyes .Used in the production of brighteners, resins, plastics, etc.
Terephthalaldehyde can be used as a feedstock for the following synthetic reactions:
Synthesis of thickened bisbenzoquinoline derivatives by one-pot three-component reactions with aromatic amines and cyclic ketones.
