应用

1. It is mainly used for the production of phenol and acetone, and can also be used as an additive to improve the octane number of fuel oil, a synthetic fragrance and a raw material for polymerization initiator
2. Used as a standard material for chromatographic analysis, and also for organic synthesis
3. Isopropyl benzene is an important intermediate used in the manufacture of phenol and is also an intermediate of the herbicide isopropylon.
4. Most of the isopropylbenzene (more than 98%) is used in the production of phenol and acetone, and a small part is used to improve the octane number of olefinic oil additives, synthetic flavors, polymerization reaction initiators, etc.
