Nature:
M-bromonitrobenzene is a colorless crystal or pale yellow crystalline powder with a special odor. It is insoluble in water but has a good solubility in organic solvents. Melting point: 56℃, boiling point: 256.5℃, 117-118℃ (1.2kPa), relative density: 1.7036 (20/4℃), refractive index: 1.5979. Soluble in ethanol, benzene and ether, but insoluble in water

Preparation method:
M-brominated nitrobenzene can be synthesized by bromination of nitrobenzene. Bromine is usually reacted with sulfuric acid to form a brominating agent, and this brominating agent is reacted with nitrobenzene to obtain m-brominated nitrobenzene.
