Tilmicosin phosphate is a semisynthetic antibiotic for livestock and poultry made from the hydrolyzed products of tyloxins, and its phosphate is used clinically. Temichoacin phosphate has strong antimicrobial activity, and has effects on Gram-positive bacteria and some Gram-negative bacteria, mycoplasma, spirochetes and so on. It had stronger antibacterial effect on mycoplasma, pasteurella and actinobacter pleural pneumoniae than tyloxin. There is no cross resistance between it and other commonly used antibiotics. It is clinically used for the treatment of livestock and poultry infectious diseases caused by sensitive bacteria and mycoplasma. It mainly has special effect on the respiratory tract infection of livestock and poultry.

Mainly used for the prevention and treatment of mycoplasma diseases in pigs and poultry, such as chronic respiratory diseases and infectious sinusitis in chickens and mycoplasma pneumonia and mycoplasma arthritis in pigs. It is particularly effective against mycoplasma infection with sensitive bacteria. It is also used for the treatment of pneumonia caused by Pasteurella bovine, rot hoof caused by transport fever and pyogenetic actinomycetes, pneumonia caused by Pasteurella porcine and diarrhea caused by Treponema dysenteriae porcine.
