Alpha Lipoic Acid

Alpha lipoic acid (ALA) and thioctic acid is an organosulfur compound derived from octanoic acid. ALA is made in animals normally, and is essential for aerobic metabolism. It is also manufactured and is available as a dietary supplement in some countries where it is marketed as an antioxidant, and is available as a drug in other countries. Lipoic acid is a vitamin drugs, limited physical activity in its dextral, basically no physical activity in its Lipoic acid,and no side effects. Alpha lipoic acid is light yellow powder, almost odorless, alpha lipoic acid easily soluble in benzene, ethanol, ethyl , chloroform and other organic solvents.Alpha lipoic acid almost insoluble in water, the water solubility: 1 g/L (20 ºC) soluble in 10% NaOH solution.

Alpha lipoic acid is a coenzyme found in mitochondria, similar to vitamins, which eliminates free radicals that cause accelerated aging and disease. Lipoic acid enters cells after it is absorbed through the intestinal tract in the body and has both lipid-soluble and water-soluble properties.
