Zinc Chloride

Zinc chloride is white hexagonal crystal granular crystal or powder, zinc chloride is one of the important commodities in the inorganic salt industry, it is widely used, many used in printing and dyeing factories and production of dye. Zinc chloride is easily soluble in water, soluble in methanol, ethanol, glycerol, ether, acetone, insoluble in liquid  strong deliquescence, can absorb water from the air and deliquescence, with the characteristics of dissolving metal oxides and cellulose. Molten zinc chloride has a very good electrical conductivity. When hot, deep white smoke is generated.

The electrolyte of a battery; Hot dip galvanizing industry; Pesticides, pharmaceutical intermediates; Industrial coal washing; Dehydrator and shrinkage agent of organic synthesis industry; Catalyst for cation exchange resin; The production of polypropylene solvent; Dyeing and weaving industry used as mordant, mercerizing agent and sizing agent; Production of reactive dyes and cationic dyes.

Dry cell battery: Zinc chloride Battery Grade 98% is commonly used in dry cell batteries as an electrolyte.

Water Treatment: Zinc chloride used as corrosion inhibitor and scale inhibitor in water treatment facilities, including drinking water treatment, cooling towers, in oil and gas wells.

Galvanizing: Zinc chloride is used in fluxes for hot dip galvanizing. It dissolves the dense oxide layer on the metal surface, leaving the metal exposed and ensuring the bonding between the metals. 

Zinc Electroplating: Zinc chloride is main source of the zinc in acid zinc plating bath.

Agriculture: Zinc chloride is an important micronutrient that is used extensively in agriculture. Zinc chloride is a source of zinc and be further combined with chelating agent to form water soluble solutions that are readily bioavailable for animals and plants. 

Petroleum: In petroleum industry zinc chloride is a powerful emulsion breaker for separating oil and water.

Resins: Zinc chloride anhydrous as an important catalyst in the production of Ion exchange resins. 

Vulcanized Fibre: Vulcanized fibre is a laminate material formed by the reaction and crosslinking of cellulose in a zinc chloride acid bath.  

Rubber: Be used as accelerator in the vulcanizing process of rubber.

Paints: Zinc chloride is used in the dye industry as a stabilizer for color developer. 
Pharmaceutical: In the organic synthesis of pharmaceutical intermediates, zinc chloride, as a catalyst for Friedel - Crafts reaction, Fischer Indole synthesis and Alkyd esterification, it has shown its superiority in green chemistry and such reactions. Compared with the catalytic effect of other Lewis acids, zinc chloride solves a lot of problems such as high pollution, heavy energy - consumption and poor selectivity during chemical manufacture.

Zinc Chloride has the property of dissolving metal oxides and cellulose.Molten Zinc Chloride has good electrical conductivity.Zinc Chloride can be used as a dehydrating agent and catalyst in the organic synthesis industry,as well as mordant,sizing agent and weighting agent in the dyeing and weaving indutry.Zinc Chloride can also be used as petroleum purifier and actiated carbon activator.The affinity of other material,it can be used as a fireproof substance for clothing and can also be used as a fabric odor cleaner.Zinc Chloride can attack metal oxides to generate MZnOCl₂ which is principle of it as a metal flux.

Agriculture field
In order for crops to grow better,they must have sufficient Zinc.Zinc solution can be used for crops in areas where the soil is Zinc deficient.Manufacuters use Zinc chloride as a chelating agent in combination with other compounds to produce this Zinc product.
Flux field
A welder uses a flux containing Zinc Chloride to help weld two pieces of metal.This flus can be used as cleaning agent to remove oxides and impurities onthe metal surface which can increase the soldering fastness very well.
Dry battery field
Dry cells use a Zinc Chloride paste to help control the electrons and provide electrical power.Zinc Chloride also has moisture-proof and anti-corrosion effects.Due to its low production cost,it is well suited for intermittent power supply equipment such as flashing barricade lights,navigation equipment and electonic watches.
