Ambroxol HCl

Ambroxol hydrochloride, an organic compound with the chemical formula C13H19Br2ClN2O, is a white to yellowish crystalline powder, mainly used as an expectorant, which can promote the expulsion of viscous secretions in the respiratory tract and reduce the retention of mucus, thus significantly promoting expectoration. It is suitable for acute and chronic respiratory diseases accompanied by abnormal sputum secretion and poor sputum excretion function.

Ambroxol HCl is a white to yellowish crystalline powder, almost odorless.

Ambroxol HCl is dissolved in methanol, slightly soluble in water, and slightly soluble in ethanol.

Ambroxol HCl has the properties of promoting mucus expulsion and dissolving secretions. It can promote the expulsion of viscous secretions in the respiratory tract and reduce the retention of mucus, thus significantly promoting sputum expulsion and improving respiratory conditions. When treated with this product, the patient's mucus secretion can return to normal condition. Cough and sputum volume are usually significantly reduced, allowing the surfactant on the mucous membranes of the respiratory tract to perform its normal protective function.
