O le a lenei oloa?

Triphenyl phosphate (TPP) is a chemical compound that is widely used as a flame retardant, plasticizer, and lubricant additive. It is a white crystalline powder that is insoluble in water, but soluble in many organic solvents.

TPP is used as a flame retardant in many applications, including electrical and electronic equipment, automotive components, and textiles. It works by releasing phosphorus-based compounds when exposed to high temperatures, which create a layer of char on the surface of the material and help to slow down the spread of fire.

In addition to its use as a flame retardant, TPP is also used as a plasticizer in PVC and other plastics, where it improves flexibility and durability. It can also be used as a lubricant additive in industrial applications.

While TPP is generally considered to be safe when used properly, there are concerns about its potential health and environmental impacts. It has been found to persist in the environment and accumulate in living organisms, and there is some evidence to suggest that it may have endocrine-disrupting properties.

As with any chemical, it is important to handle TPP with care and to follow appropriate safety protocols when using it. This includes wearing appropriate personal protective equipment, using TPP in a well-ventilated area, and avoiding direct contact with the chemical. If you have specific concerns or questions about the use of TPP in a particular application, it is best to consult with a qualified professional or regulatory authority.

Application:

used as cellulosic resin, vinyl resin, natural rubber and synthetic rubber flame retardant plasticizer, can also be used as flame retardant and plasticizer for triglyceride thin ester and film, rigid polyurethane foam ,plastic etc .
