Isopropyl myristate is a colorless to light yellow thin oily liquid, odorless and tasteless. Soluble in ethanol, ether, and chlorofor. Can dissolve with water. It has good lubrication and permeability, can improve skin affinity, and is a lower alcohol ester of higher fatty acids.
Isopropyl myristate has a low greasy feeling, a softening effect on the skin, and good permeability. It is a solvent and retention agent for pigments, spices, and various additives.
