Colorless liquid, density 0.849g/cm3. Freezing point <-77℃, boiling point 159℃, flash point (open cup) 43.33 ℃, slightly soluble in water, can be mixed with alcohol, benzene, acetone.

Mainly used as polyurethane hard foam catalyst

1.Dimethylcyclohexylamine is used in polyurethane plastics and textiles and as a chemical intermediate.

2.The curing temperature of baking finishes comprising polyurethane-forming substances can be reduced by 50 – 80 ℃ by adding weakly acidic derivatives of N,N-Dimethylcyclohexylamine. Like pyridine, dimethylcyclohexylamine catalyzes certain reactions and is slightly more efficient than pyridine in the preparation of acid chlorides with thionyl chloride. It can be used as corrosion inhibitor and as an antioxidant in fuel oils.

3.Mainly used as polyurethane hard foam catalyst.

4.Used as dye intermediate, for vanillin, azo dye, triphenylmethane dye, can also be used as solvent, stabilizer, analytical reagent, etc. Also used as a catalyst.

5.N, n-dimethylcyclohexylamine can be used in a wide range of hard foams. One of the main applications is insulation foam, including formulations for sprays, plates, plywood and refrigeration. N, N-dimethylcyclohexylamine is also suitable for the manufacture of rigid foam furniture frames and decorative components. The catalyst used in hard foam products can be used as the main catalyst alone, without adding organotin, or supplemented with JD series catalyst according to process and product requirements. It is also used as a rubber accelerator and an intermediate for synthetic fibers.
