Cesium Chloride

Caesium chloride (CsCl) is a colorless, inorganic salt that is a source of caesium ions. It has a crystal structure where each caesium ion is surrounded by eight chloride ions. CsCl is found naturally in carnallite, kainite, and sylvite, and is also produced from the mineral pollucite.

Chemical industry. Cesium chloride can be used as catalyst and reaction medium for the preparation of other compounds, such as cesium chloride, rubidium chloride, etc. Analytical reagents. Cesium chloride is used for microscope analysis, spectral analysis and so on.
