Trait
This product is white or off-white needle-like crystals or crystalline powder. Odorless. White to pale yellow crystalline powder, odorless, bitter in taste. Melting point: 227-229℃. It is readily soluble in water, methanol, ethanol and glycerol, slightly soluble in chloroform and ether. Insoluble in acetone. It is stable under acidic conditions but prone to decomposition and failure under alkaline conditions.
This product is highly soluble in water, readily soluble in ethanol, slightly soluble in chloroform and extremely slightly soluble in acetone. The melting point of this product (General Chapter 0612, Method 1) is 225 to 230℃.
Purpose 1
It is suitable for expelling roundworm, hookworm and Malay worm infections
Use 2
As an anthelmintic, it is suitable for the treatment of animal roundworms, hookworms, etc.
Use 3
This product is an anthelmintic. The activity of levamisole is approximately twice that of racemic compounds, and its toxicity and side effects are also lower. Levamisole can paralyze the muscles of roundworms and then expel them with feces. It is mainly used for anti-roundworm and anti-hookworm purposes.
