Glyphosate ( IUPAC name : N -(phosphonomethyl)glycine ) is a broad-spectrum systemic herbicide and crop desiccant . It is an organophosphorus compound , specifically a phosphonate , which acts by inhibiting the plant enzyme 5-enolpyruvylshikimate-3-phosphate synthase . It is used to kill weeds , especially annual broadleaf weeds and grasses that compete with crops .

Aplikasyon

Glyphosate is an organophosphorus herbicide. Endothermic conductive broad-spectrum herbicide. It mainly resists the enolacetone-based shikimin phosphate synthetase in plants, thus inhibiting the conversion of shikimin to phenylalanine, tyrosine and tryptophan, which interferes with protein synthesis and leads to plant death. It can control more than 40 families of plants, including monocotyledon and dicotyledon, annual and perennial, herbs and shrubs. It is very destructive to the underground organization of perennial deep-rooted weeds. It is widely used in agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, industrial transportation and other aspects, including forest, rubber garden, farmland, tea mulberry, orchard, sugarcane field, forest fire isolation belt, railway, airport, warehouse, oil depot, power station and other non-agricultural weeding.
