Propylene glycol can be used as raw material for resins, plasticizers, surfactants, emulsifiers and demulsifiers, and also as antifreeze and heat carrier

Application

• Extraction solvent
• The freezing point of water is depressed when mixed with propylene glycol. It is used as aircraft deicing and anti-icing fluid.
•It is the raw material of unsaturated polyester resin, epoxy resin, polyurethane resin, and also the raw material of plasticiser, surfactant, emulsifier and emulsion breaker.
•In the food industry, it is used as solvent of flavour, food colouring, tobacco wetting agent, mould inhibitor and fruit ripening preservative, drug excipient and so on.
•It can also be used as antifreeze, heat carrier and food machinery lubricant.
