It is known as protocatechuic acid and is present in plant foods such as olives, roselle, du-zhong, and white grape wine.This compound have antioxidant, cardioprotective, neuroprotective, antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory and myoprotective activity, as well as anti-ulcer activity[1].
