PLUMBAGIN CAS 481-42-5 is an organic compound. It is a crystalline solid that appears light yellow or orange-yellow at room temperature. It is soluble in organic solvents such as ethanol, methylene chloride and benzene, but insoluble in water.

Lanshequinone is a strong oxidizing agent with oxidizing and reducing properties. Lanxue quinone also has certain fluorescence properties, can emit blue or white fluorescence under the excitation of ultraviolet light. It is often used as fluorescent dye, indicator and photosensitive substance.
