O-Toluidine

A color or light yellow oily liquid at room temperature that turns reddish brown when exposed to air and sunlight. Slightly soluble in water, soluble in ethanol and ether, dilute acid. Mainly used as dyes, pesticides, pharmaceuticals and organic synthesis intermediates.

1.For the preparation of azo dyes, triphenylmethane dyes; for example, for the preparation of sulfide blue, sulfurized yellowish GC, sulfurized yellow brown 5G, chromophenol AS-D, red radical RL, large red base G, jujube red GBC , acid peach red 3B, reduced peach red R, basic magenta and alkaline peach red T;

2.Used in the pharmaceutical industry for the preparation of o-chloropenicillin, hypnotic ketone, bismuth, and ruthenium. The pesticide industry is used to synthesize insecticides. Also used in the synthesis of vulcanization accelerators DT, BG, PR and other synthesis.
