Veterinary drugs: refers to substances used to prevent, treat, diagnose animal diseases or to purposefully regulate the physiological function of animals (drug-containing feed additives).

Veterinary drugs mainly include: serum products, vaccines, diagnostic products, micro-ecological products, Chinese medicinal materials, proprietary Chinese medicines, chemicals, antibiotics, biochemical drugs, radiopharmaceuticals and external pesticides, disinfectants, etc.

Veterinary drugs can be roughly summarized into four categories:

• general disease prevention drugs;
• infectious disease prevention drugs;
• Anti-parasitic diseases in vivo and in vitro;
• (including growth-promoting drugs). Among them, except for biochemical immune products for the prevention and control of infectious diseases (vaccines, vaccines, sera, antitoxins and toxoids, etc.), and special veterinary drugs such as drugs for animal and poultry special parasitic diseases and growth promotion drugs, the rest are the same as human use, but the dosage, dosage form and specifications are different.
